My hair is like the darkness of the sky
Dark brown and sparkling
My eyes are like the ocean
Blue and shiny
My mind is like a computer
It holds a lot of facts
My thoughts are like dreams
Of things yet to be
My heart holds the key
That’s white like newly fallen snow
I live in a computer land
And I gather baskets of bytes

Lauren was in the 6th grade when she submitted this imaginative and evocative poem to my site.

I was looking through the website and cannot imagine how a child in the 6th grade could write such a poem. I read it quite a few times and was amazed of the thoughts that were going on in her head. I truly enjoyed reading it.
