The world outside my window is clear with stars above.
The moon’s bright glow will shelter us with a blanket of its love.
And when I crawl into bed tonight
I’ll look upon the world so far
And hope that some day soon
I can ride upon a shooting star

The poet did not give her age, but this is a poem that speaks to me of youth and innocence. These are qualities that people can have at any age, but they are not valued, really, and we need to value them, in ourselves and in others. They are the fuel for both creativity and the joy of life.
