Let us put our arms around each other
Let our cheeks touch and our foreheads connect
We are family
We are family
We must hold tight to one another
no matter where we are
If we are ever less than family
then we cannot be right
or good or whole
Let us put our arms around each other
Let our cheeks touch and our foreheads connect
to encircle and strengthen the world
family to family to family

I am the blessed recipient of much family love. I am the daughter of my mother. I am the daughter of my father. I am the sister of my brother. But religion and science have combined to teach us a brilliant, painful and undeniable truth. We are ALL family. When we realize this, life on earth will never be the same.
